Arrival in Salalah and welcome to Oman!
Tour to the West side of Salalah. On this half-day tour you will visit the ancient tomb of ‘Prophet Job’ situated in the scenic green mountains of the Salalah plains. Proceed to the beach of Mughsail and admire the natural ‘Blow Holes’. Continue along the ‘Hair-pin-bend’ road towards West to see the historical ‘Frankincense trees’ growing in their natural habitat, deep down in the valleys.
The stunning desert of Ar Rub Al Khali (The Empty Quarter) is Dhofars most remarkable and popular site with its untouched and magical sand dunes. Visit the legendary ‘Lost City of Ubar’ enroute. On the way back to Salalah, drive into Wadi ‘Dawka’ (UNESCO World heritage site) known as the ‘Frankincense Wadi’, which is also well known as the biggest collection of the naturally grown Frankincense trees in the region.
Start a full day tour to explore the Salalah and its surrounding. Visit to the old fishing village of ‘Taqa’ and its century old ‘Taqa Castle’. Continue onto the ancient ruins of the once famous city of Sumharam (Khor Rohri -UNESCO World Heritage site) and ‘Mirbat’; the ancient capital of Dhofar. Visit the ‘twin-domed Bin Ali’s Tomb’ as a photo stop. Visit the highlights of Salalah city.
