Visit the 16th Century forts Jalali and Mirani. Stroll around the old city quarter and have a photo-stop at the official Palace of HM Sultan Qaboos. Visit Bait Al Zubair museum, Muttrah souq, Grand mosque and the opera house.

Visit Wadi Bani Khalid. The large natural pools are often a cordial invitation to take a dip. Set off for the adventure of Wahiba Sands, the sandy desert in northern Oman.

Cross the Wahiba Sands from north to south. View the fabulous pink salt flats that stretch across horizons at Shanna. Arrive at Khaluf beach, which is famous for its sugary white sand dunes. Immerse into the turquoise water of Indian Ocean at Khaluf as a successful conclusion of the day.

Drive along the south coast towards Duqm. Arrived at Duqm, visit the stunning Rock garden. Drive to Ras Madraka bay and indulge in the warm turquoise water of the Indian Ocean. Outdoor camping at Ras Madraka.

On the way to Shuwaymiah view the red lagoon and many stunning views. Arrived in Shuwaymiah we proceed our drive along the Wadi Shuwaymiah. Go on hiking in the Wadi till we reach the natural spring “Ayn Shuwaymiah” (ca. 3km).

Continue the tour towards desert. Visit the ‘Lost City of Ubar’. Proceed to the Empty Quarter to experience the “biggest sand desert in the World”. A breathtaking sunset awaits you on the top of the dunes.

Today you will spend the whole day in the biggest sand desert in the world! Drive to Burkana, where you find water just few meters beneath the sand dunes. Return to the camp.

Start our journey towards Salalah. Drive into Wadi ‘Dawka’ on the way, known as the ‘Frankincense Wadi’. We arrive Salalah in the early afternoon. Check in to the hotel. The afternoon is at leisure.

Go on a full day safari into the Dhofar Mountains. Highlights are the Taqah Castle, ancient ruins of Sumharam (Khor Rohri), ever green ‘Wadi Darbat’ and the Jebel Samhan mountain. This location is commonly known as the ‘Grand Canyon’ of Dhofar. Drive back to Salalah.

Ayn Sahalnoot is one of the most attractive natural springs in Dhofar region, surrounded by astonishing landscapes with natural rock formations. Proceed along the beach of Mughsail where the white sand touches the deep blue of the Indian Ocean. A drive along the ‘Hair-pin-bend’ road with its breathtaking cliffs on either side takes you to one of the most attractive Beaches in Dhofar, The Fizayah Beach. On the way along you can see the historical ‘Frankincense trees’ growing in their natural habitat. Spend a relaxing time at Fizaya Beach.
Overnight in Salalah.
Today we visit the Salalah city for a half day excursion. Visit the museum, lush green plantations of vegetables & fruits, make a Photo stop at the impressive Sultan Qaboos Mosque, view the Official Palace of His Majesty the Sultan (Al Husn Palace) and stroll through the old Haffah souk, famous for the sale of high quality Frankincense & numerous other Dhofari traditional souvenirs. Transfer to the Airport for the flight to Muscat in the afternoon.

Sultan Qaboos Mosque/ Grand Mosque is only opened for visitors from Saturday to Thursday from 8:00 – 11:00 am.
All the required gear for outdoor camping will be provided. Guests may bring their own camping gear, but not necessary.
Dune bashing during the desert tour is an adventures activity. Guest may participate this event at their own risk.
Two nights in The Sands camp in Rub Al Khali desert. Camp is basic with simple tents with solid beds. Bed linen is provided. Toilets (not attached), piped water and electricity available. Buffet dinner with local specialities and simple breakfast will be provided.
Please note that the swimming at beaches is optional and limited to the time frame. Swimming is at guest’s own risk. No life guards are available.
This tour is not suitable for those with injuries or conditions, which may be affected by the bumpy ride. Pregnant women and children under 6 may not participate
