Arrival in Salalah and welcome to Oman!
Upon Arrival, you will be transferred to the Hotel. Check-in to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure
Morning at Leisure. Start an overnight tour in the afternoon to the Rub Al Khali Desert by Jeep. It is an exciting desert trip with one overnight stay at a camp in the middle of the desert. Visit the ‘Lost City of Ubar’ (UNESCO) en route. Enjoy a stunning sunset over the pictursque sand dunes. enjoy an unforgettable night in the desert.
Drive back to Salalah. On the way back, drive into Wadi ‘Dawka’ (UNESCO) known as the ‘Frankincense Wadi’. You will enjoy the countryside before you return to the hotel before afternoon.
Rest of the day is at leisure.
A full day tour around Salalah. The excursion begins with a visit to the old fishing village of ‘Taqa’. Visit the century old ‘Taqa Castle’. Continue onto the ancient ruins of the once famous city of Sumharam (Khor Rohri -UNESCO World Heritage site). A picturesque drive then leads you to ‘Mirbat’, the ancient capital of Dhofar and the beginning of the ‘Frankincense trail’. Visit the ‘twin-domed Bin Ali’s Tomb’ as a photo stop. Proceed to the beach of Mughsail and admire the natural ‘Blow Holes’. Continue along the ‘Hair-pin-bend’ road towards West to see the historical ‘Frankincense trees’ growing in their natural habitat, deep down in the valleys.
Half day Salalah city tour. Visit the highlights of Salalah city. This tour included Salalah’s well-known banana and coconut plantations, The Frankincense Land Museum, the traditional Souq filled with frankincense products and the majestic Sultan Qaboos mosque.
