DAY 1 – Arrival in Muscat – Sunset Dhow cruise

Arrival in MCT international Airport.
Transfer to the hotel. Afternoon you will be picked up for a romantic sunset cruise in a traditional boat called Dhow.

DAY 2 – Flight to Duqm – transfer to Masirah island

Catch the flight in the morning and travel to Oman’s newest city of Duqm. Upon arrival you will be picked up by your guide and transfer to Shannah. The ferry brings you to the Masirah Island. Drive to the hotel and stay overnight.

DAY 3 – Masirah highlights – back to Duqm

Enjoy a scenic drive in the Island. Explore the nature of the Island. Enjoy the pristine beaches, landscapes and abundant birdlife in the island. With some luck you might be able to view sea turtles as well. Catch the ferry and arrive the mainland in the evening. Drive to Duqm and stay overnight.

DAY 4 – Arabian Oryx breeding center – Rock garden

Drive to Jiddat Al Harasis to the country’s single nature reserve for wild Arabian Oryx antelopes. Visit the breeding center and learn more about this rare antelopes. No less interesting is the so-called Rock Garden in Duqm, a lunar landscape with strangely shaped rocks that adorn the amazing landscapes of nature.

DAY 5 – Red lagoon – Wadi Shuwaymiah

On the way to Shuwaymiah we make a short detour to the beach side to watch some interesting landscapes. The place is called red lagoon, a small isolated lagoon with reddish colored water, and rich of birds. You may see hundreds and thousands of shore birds at the beach. Continue along the coast to Shuwaymiah. Arrived in Shuwaymiah take a walk in the spectacular landscape in a Wadi with a small waterfall.

DAY 6 – Overnight in Rub Al Khali desert

In to the Empty Quarter. You will see the Dhofars oil fields by passing Marmul and arrive at a Farm amidst a deserted area. After visiting the farm (Optional, subjected to the opening hours) continue the tour to the ‘Lost City of Ubar’. After walking around the site, proceed to the Empty Quarter desert and enjoy the sunset over the sand dunes.

DAY 7 – Ubar – Wadi Dauka – Salalah

Start the journey towards Salalah. Drive into Wadi ‘Dawka’ on the way, known as the ‘Frankincense Wadi’. We arrive Salalah in the early afternoon. Check in to the hotel. The afternoon is at leisure. Time to relax and enjoy the facilities at your hotel.

DAY 8 – Mughsail – Dalkut village

Drive to Mughsail beach and enjoy the nature. Enjoy the landscapes on a breathtaking mountain road via hairpin bends and you reach the highest plateau of Jebel al Qamar with fantastic views of the coast and the sea. Visit the fishing village of Dalkut and its huge Baobab tree, experience the daily life in a remote fishing village of Oman.

DAY 9 – Departure

Say goodbye to Oman and departure transfer to the Airport. Conditions apply.

Please Note: Please pay attention to the local customs of taking photographs • No photography/filming allowed at Museums. Your guide will advise you the particulars • Grand Mosque and Sultan Qaboos Mosque is only opened for visitors from Saturday to Thursday from 8:00 – 11:00 am • This tour involves walking over rough and inclined ground • Maximum number of Pax in a 4×4 vehicle should be 4, due to the safety regulations • The jeep safaris may not suitable for those with injuries or conditions, which may be affected by the bumpy rides. Pregnant women and children under 6 may not participate
